Character Design

Here are some examples of character designs for animation shorts and comics.

Dad

Eggs, Flour and Blood

We started off with the idea to design a big, large, tough on the outside, soft on the inside father. We changed our mind in the end, because we needed a character that would be more “flexible”, easier to move and animate.

Now he is soft on the outside, with his round belly, but with a tough face and strong baker arms.

Extras

Eggs, Flour and Blood

The extras were a challenging and extremely important component for Eggs, Flour and Blood. We created a medieval town that had to be populated with characters of that world. It was especially important to fill the talent show

scenes wih a full and cheering crowd.

It ended up being the element that truly brought all the castle scenes to life!

Because our setting was a sort of middle age-town, we had to make sure there would be a lot of habitants. We did not want to put only humans in there, but we also did not want to fall into the typical fairy tale scenario with dragons and fairies and other classical fantasy elements.

Characters without a story… (yet)

A collection of tragic characters and poor souls who exist only in these drawings and never got to be in any story.
